ANJE is a public interest association under private law and, since 1986, it has been institutionally representing young Portuguese entrepreneurs. Its aim is to satisfy common interests and to make its companies more dynamic. To this end, its main areas of activity are training (between 2014 and 2015, ANJE held 261,000 hours of training on 828 courses), entrepreneurship support (so far, over 2.7 million young people have taken part in Entrepreneurship Academy projects), business incubation/acceleration (11 business centres spread around the country with incubation and acceleration services) and the creation of business associations.
With around 5,500 associates, over fifty employees, ten operating areas and several regional centres (North, Centre, Lisbon and Tagus Valley, the Alentejo and the Algarve), ANJE is a pioneering association in the defence of young entrepreneurs and the promotion of young entrepreneurship. It has a prestigious reputation in Portuguese society, political influence with public decision-makers and a stimulating intervention into the business fabric.
INESC TEC is an Associate Laboratory with more than 30 years of experience in R&D and technology transfer. Present in 6 sites in the cities of Porto, Braga and Vila Real, INESC TEC incorporates 13 R&D Centres and one Associate Unit with complementary competences, always looking to the international market.
INESC TEC brings together more than 650 researchers, of which more than 270 have PhDs, forming a robust cluster with complementary skills and with notable international presence. INESC TEC invests in Scientific Research and Technological Development, as well as in Advanced Training and Consulting, Technology Transfer and supports the Establishment of new Technology-based Companies.
INESC TEC was created to act as an interface between the academic world, the world of industry and services and the public administration in Information Technologies, Telecommunications and Electronics (ITT&E).
